Toddler OOTD #26 - Minnie Mouse at a Teddy Bear picnic
June is a party time for us. Our family doesn't celebrate just one birthday in June, but about seven. Attending that obligatory NCT course didn't just teach us about birth choices and how to put a nappy on a dolly, but also gave us six play mates to party with in June.
Over the last weekend we had not just one, but two birthday parties. On Sunday the theme was Teddy Bear picnic, so we dressed our little mouse in a party dress and grabbed a teddy and off we went.
A picnic blanket, little party hats, a ball pit, little trikes, juice, crisps, teddies to cuddle and lots of little play mates - what more could a two year old want from a party?
If you are a little princess who loves her accessories, you might also like to have a new pair of shoes. As we popped in town earlier to get our little girl a few birthday gifts, she picked a new pair of sandals from H&M. She loved them, and proceeded to put them on in the shop. Sat on the floor, took her shoes and socks off, put the new pair on and tried to walk away. Luckily for our little cheeky chops, they went perfectly with her Minnie Mouse party dress and were the right size too.
It was lovely seeing a few of our NCT babies together, playing, chattering and toddling away. While they don't really play together, but rather play alongside each other, it was lovely to see them sit together, share their crisps, run up and down the garden and have lots of fun. Together and alongside each other.
Looking forward to June 2016 - I wonder how many parties we will get to attend then!
What did you think of the Minnie Mouse dress? Do you still meet your NCT buddies?
We've got the same thing! A couple of groups of friends with babies all born within a month of each other. Busy but very fun times between March and May!! The Minnie Mouse dress is super cute! I love the bright vibrant pink. The polka dots and little sleeves are fab too! The tutu part makes it look like a lovely party dress, too cute! I would totally wear those little sandals, how fashionable are they?! Glad you had a lovely picnic. Thanks so much for linking up petal and hope you have a great weekend! xx #weekendbabystyle
ReplyDeleteYeah it is really lovely isn't it - I have made such good friends and I hope our children will stay as friends when they get a bit older too. It is so nice to have a little group like that :)
DeleteThanks for hosting, always get some good ideas and lots of inspiration through looking at other posts in the linky too. Your daughter often has really trendy accessories and outfits too, they are so cute :) Like a mini adult :)
aerate what a cutie in her pretty dress and new sandals xx
ReplyDeleteThank you :) I especially like the tutu! :)
DeleteAwww love the dress, my daughter loves Mini and Micky so would adore this dress. Love the tutu style of it too! #TT_Thursday
ReplyDeleteThey are such cute charactes :) My ltitle one is Peppa mad, anything with Peppa she loves :)
DeleteOh that's so sweet! What a cute outfit. I miss our little antenatal group birthday parties. For the first three years a group of us did a joint party but once they started at preschool and school it became harder and so those parties have drifted. This year was the first year Ethan hasn't attended a party of one of my antenatal group's children's. It's sad but it's the way things go. Life changes, goes in cycles. Still, they are precious memories and I love to look at the photos. xx
ReplyDeleteThat is quite sad. I can imagine that things do change, people move away, and life just happens so you get busier and busier. It was lovely that you used to have joint birthday parties in the past though, that sounds like it would have been a lot of fun :)
DeleteSome of my family members still hang around with their NCT girls (of whom many are now grannies...), so I guess sometimes those friendships can last a long long time. I think it would be pretty cool if that happened to us too :)
Gorgeous outfit and shoes, I hope everyone has lovely birthdays! Unofrtunately I never joined NCT but friends through friends I ended up with 6 friends whilst pregnant with Leah and all babies were born within 6 weeks of each other. Unfortunately again over time everyone went back to work and I have only managed to keep in contact with 2! So sad. Thank you for sharing #TT_Thursday
ReplyDeleteYeah it is a shame when you lose contact - it would be so nice to meet regularly and have a little circle of friends all around the same age. It does take effort, from everyone and sometimes things can just slip. Thanks for hosting :)
DeleteBeautiful outfit for a beautiful girl! #TT_Thursday
ReplyDeleteThank you :) This is one of her favourite dresses (she always picks this one if I give her a choice) :)
DeleteWhat a cute little dress. My daughter would love this. The pictures are all fab. xx
