Cycling in our new park

When we moved to our new home I felt a bit reluctant about leaving our old stomping grounds. There was that amazing country estate just a short walk away, and an old cow's pasture for a playground just a few streets away. I was wondering how would it be in our new home, and how would the new park pan out.

Thankfully, I can say, it has turned out to be wonderful.

We frequent our nearby park several times a week. It is just at the end of the road, a few minutes walk away. It is huge, and has lots of walkways to cycle around on. There is a playground, swings, climbing frames, sandpit and lots and lots of new friends to meet.

One sunny day we went there again. Our little miss Pendleton, cycling on her new bike, saying hello to every single person that came towards us - be they on a bike, jogging, walking or pushing a pram. "Helloooooo! Nice to meet you! Bye bye!" rang in our ears several several times. "Ring ring" she'd ring her bell to say hi. And people would smile and say hi back, and compliment her beautiful pink bike...

So yes, I can say this park is just as good, and maybe a bit better than our last one! And you will see us cycling there for many more days to come....

"Ring ring!"

So, how is your nearby park?

    1. We are enjoying it. It is not the most glorious location, but it has all the things we need and the train station is close. We think for us it will be the other way around - I think we will grow out of the area but wouldn't really want to leave our current house which is lovely!

    1. I never saw the appeal until I had kids! It really does make a difference when you know you can just go down the road to let them blow off some steam.

    1. It is so cute isn't it, when they get so attached to their dolls they have to take them out even bike riding :) Aili was insisting that we bring her baby out, that her baby had to be wrapped warm, and then she kept on talking how the baby is cold as we were riding around in the park... :)

  10. So sweet! I love it when kids say hi to passers by (although slightly annoyed if people ignore their friendliness!), it's great to be friendly and social to people of all ages. Love cycling with my boys too, it's great excercise and you can go further than when they walk! Thanks for linking up to #Whatevertheweather :) x

    1. Yup, I love it when kids say hi to oncoming folk and they engage :) the look on my daughters face if they don't say anything back is so heart breaking, she looks all sad and confused. Bless :(

We cover some good distance too when she's on her bike! Thanks for hosting :)
