Baby OOTD #6 - Rara-skirt

She got this little rara-skirt as a 1st year birthday gift and we just loved the cute hippy-like feel to it. I dressed her up in her Monsoon hippy shirt, and this Sainsbury's rara-skirt, and chose white ankle socks to go with her dark-blue Clarks shoes. I think the combination is cute overload - a real little hippy chick.

I also think she looks a bit like a Christmas tree, with the flares and layers, I don't know if anyone else can see it. My husband just looked at me like I was a crazy person when I mentioned this.

Sometimes I do wonder about the sizing of baby clothes. She is now nearly 16 months, and this skirt (12-18 months) is just about right for her. Maybe a bit big even. Some of her clothes (like the top in the pictures) are actually 6-12 months, and she still fits in them fine.

It is weird how some clothes just seem to last forever, maybe turning from dresses into shirts, and some clothes you buy, seem to get too small almost as soon as you put them on them. Funny that, but I do wish more of them were in the former category. But then again... I am not sure about that after all, because if they were in the latter category, I could shop for her more often!

How's the outfit looking like to you?

  5. Sizings are really weird. Gwenn's 17 months and she has a John Lewis 18-24 cardi which is not going to fit her for months and months yet had a 18-24 tunic that fit her when she was 1? It's bizarre.

I love the skirt. I fancy getting some for Gwenn because she has loads of tights and I could do some cute clashes!

    1. Yeah it is really weird - and some brands consistently come up large and other small. For example I find Polarn o Pyret to do huge clothes, and then Gap are often quite small.

Skirts are lovely - and now with autumn they look great with tights too!
