French preppy style with Jacadi: Toddler OOTD #35
In collaboration with Jacadi UK
It is fun being a blogger sometimes - when for example you get to pop by
for a breakfast of macarons and check out a new children's clothing
shop! (OK, this isn't a regular occurrence unfortunately ha ha)
So, before Christmas I was invited to come and view Jacadi's new French
children's fashion store in London. I love children's clothes and love
finding new brands about which to rave. The style we dress our daughter
is quite mixed - I love the preppy French style represented by Jacadi,
but her wardrobe also contains lots of Scandinavian bold colour
splashes. No need to limit your sartorial choices at an early age in my
opinion!
I got to pick an outfit to take home and chose a dark blue wool-cotton
dress with white and red accents and a cotton-cashmere cardigan to match. And some
little hair clips to top the outfit off.
It took a while for me to make my final choice as there were many many
dresses I had my eye on. I loved the high quality materials, with plenty
of wool/cashmere mixes and thick cotton. In the end a warm preppy dress
was the winner as I figured she could use one for this winter. The fit
runs true to size - a fact I discovered after I got a size too big a
dress for her thinking French kids must be tiny. Never mind though - we
shall be wearing Jacadi next winter too. Which is not a bad thing at
all!
And OK - although I do love the preppy style my daughter is probably the least preppy stylish toddler there is, as evident by the last picture!
What did you think of the outfit? Preppy - yay or nay?
love the outfit it is adorable! I always buy clothes in a size too big, always! #TT_Thursday
ReplyDeleteHa ha yeah I often do it - better too big than too small in my opinion so you'll get some use out of it!
DeleteI think both outfits are adorable, I unable to decide which I like most. They look wonderful on your daughter. Thank you for sharing #TT_Thursday
ReplyDeleteThank you :) I really like the cardigan but my husband thought it was too boyish... I still think it is very cute!
DeleteKaunis pieni neiti teillä. Tosiaan suomalaiseen silmään näyttää aluksi oudolta tumma puku lapsella, mutta oikeastaan musta mekko näyttää vaan siistiltä ja arvokkaalta. Voisi omallekin lapselle pukea, jos vastaan tulisi, materiaali varsinkin kuulostaa hyvältä. -T.
ReplyDeleteJoo Suomessahan tuntuu olevan suositumpaa iloiset varit ja sellainen 70- luvun tyyli eri printteineen. Se on kyl sopoa, ja lapsille sopiva! Mut taakin tyyli nayttaa mielestani kivalta :)
DeleteWhat beautiful clothes! The French do have a sense of style don't they?
ReplyDeleteThey do! I've got some other French brands I really love too :) Spanish kids brands do good stuff too!
DeleteSounds like you had a fab day! What a gorgeous selection of clothes! I absolutely love French style. It's just so effortless. That second dress is so cute. I'd defitinely wear it. The last photo is amazing! She is such a cutie and reminds me of Little I haha. Thanks so much for linking up with us and hope you have a great weekend! :) #weekendministyle
ReplyDeleteHa ha thank you :) I think Little I and Aili must be quite similar in some ways - both seem to love dressing up (I wonder why, parental influence perhaps ha ha!) :)
DeleteThanks ever so much for hosting, it has been great to tag along :)
What a great selection of clothes! I live the preppy style! Sounds like you had a very fashionable day! xx #TT_Thursday #WeekendMiniStyle x
ReplyDeleteIt was! If love more days like these in the future, it was fun :)
DeleteWhat beautiful clothes - so stylish!! I love the French style! xx #weekendministyle
ReplyDeleteFrench really do pull off quite a cute style - quite grown-up but still appropriate for little kids :)
DeleteDefinitely yay! She looks gorgeous in this outfit, super stylish xx #weekendministyle
ReplyDeleteThanks - I find this is a great outfit to wear to town, or when we go shopping :)
DeleteShe looks so stylish! I love the second dress, I really like the detail around the neck and cuffs.x #weekendministyle
ReplyDeleteIt's a good one! It is quite subtle, but looks very nice. A little splash of colour in an otherwise dark outfit :)
DeleteIhania mekkoja!
Täytyy käydä vastavierailulla sun uudessa blogissa, tervetuloa bloggaajaks, on tää kyl kiva harrastus!
DeleteHi!

DeleteGorgeous outfits, I love the second dress. I was invited to this but just couldn't get to London xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, it is really beautiful isn't it! I was gutted when I wasn't able to go to the earlier event in Westfield, but glad I could make this one. Bugger you didn't get to come, hopefully next time!
